Research and planning - grown up film poster analysis

- The 2010 film grown ups film poster has the coneventions included within a comedy genre film within the film industry. The way the film poster has seperated the male characters and female characters infers that theres both genders included within the film. The way the male actors look like there having fun in what looks like to be a swimming pool in rubber rings which infers there childish habbits which link to the text which is shown in the middle of the film poster ' some guys need a little extra to mature' which also interlinks with the facial expressions and body langauge of the female characters as the women on the rights face is looking up with an unimpressed look on her face which infers that they are the parent model whereas the male actors are the ones which they've got to look after which is a cliche of a comedy genre film. The facial expressions of the males compared to the females are different as the females have more of a senssible look which links with there age as the males have childish smiling faces where there having a good time and looking like they shall rely on the women to look after them and have the responibility as the males don't want to grow up yet. This shall make the audience have a better understanding of what the film is going to in tale and include throughout the film which is what a film poster is meant to achieve within the film industry.
- The way the title of the film is placed in the middle seperates the film poster from the pictures and text and makes it easier for the audience to read as the title doesn't take too much of the attraction of the images. The use of the colour blue for the title links with the film as the colour blue infers happieness and thats whats included within a comdedy genre film.
- The overall colours of the film poster are fresh and happy which link with whats included within a comedy genre film. As comdedy films tend to include happiness and fun which is what the audience expect from the film within the film industry.
